Hilda Solis is and has been a staunch supporter of animal welfare. Her legislative records include co-sponsorship of the Horse Slaughter Prohibition Bill which would prohibit the killing of equines for human consumption (H.R. 503).

Hilda Solis’ “Back Home to Serve” campaign kicked off this past Sat April 5th with notables like the civil rights leader and Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree Dolores Huerta, LA County Federation of Labor’s Maria Elena Durazo, State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez, and Assemblymembers Gomez, Rendon and Chau, with a special introduction from Congresswoman Judy Chu.
