I recently visited the East San Gabriel Valley Regional Occupational Program and Technical Center (ESGVROP/TC) in West Covina.
I was amazed with the work they do to provide practical, hands-on career preparation, and career guidance to the residents of the East San Gabriel Valley.
The Center has a strong commitment to veteran services and provides great assistance to those who have served our country.
During my visit to the Center, I had the privilege of passing out Job Preparation Kits to local veterans.
I was very impressed with the full range of services the ESGVROP/TC offers and they are doing an outstanding job of meeting the educational needs of local veterans.
The Center helps veterans reach their educational goals by connecting them with training programs that are designed to connect students with veteran friendly employers. The Center also offers support when it comes to resume writing skills and job interviewing techniques.
If elected Supervisor, working hard to ensure that veterans are aware of every possible benefit and resource available to them will be one of my top priorities.
Our veterans put their lives on the line to defend our country and deserve good-paying civilian jobs. Employers stand to gain both productivity and profits when they chose to put these extraordinary Americans to work.
Whether you are a recently separated veteran, or one who has been discharged from active duty for some time, I encourage you to check out all the resources this center has to offer by clicking on the link below!
