EL MONTE – Today, Supervisor Elect for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, District 1, Hilda L. Solis, released the following statement.

 Today, United States Senator Barbara Boxer announced her endorsement of Former Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, District 1. 

Today, I had the privilege of honoring our fallen veterans in events hosted at Rose Hills Memorial Park and in The Cities of Rosemead and South El Monte.

Last night, I was saddened to learn of the passing of my friend and former colleague Senator John Vasconcellos at his home in Santa Clara, California.
