Supervisor Solis urges community to use emergency rental assistance (11/2/21)

Low participation rates in the state’s rental assistance program prompted Supervisor Solis to urge the community to utilize these funds. Some areas in her district including East LA, Southeast LA, and parts of San Gabriel Valley were among the communities that had the lowest participation rates. Supervisor Solis took a leadership approach to ensure the communities most at need take advantage of these funds while they are still available. Tenants in households with 2020 income below 80% of the county’s median income are eligible, and priority is given to those with income at or below 50% of that level. Supervisor Solis urged anyone in need of help paying their rent, regardless of immigration or citizenship status, to visit stayhousedla.org or call (888) 694-0040.
